Yes we did! Starting in February of 2015 and finishing the project in May 2015, we built the hobbit hole teardrop from the ground up, starting with a 5X8 trailer frame.

Do you sell custom teardrop campers?
We do not operate a business crafting and selling custom teardrop campers (though there are companies that do). That being said, we would be willing to discuss the possibility of creating a custom teardrop camper for you. Contact us with questions.
Can I buy the hobbit hole?
Currently our hobbit hole teardrop camper is not for sale.
What is it made out of?
Starting with a 5X8 metal trailer frame we added walls made of birch plywood and 2X3s. The Hobbit Hole Teardrop Camper is insulated, has a TV, AC, vent, plexiglass skylight and windows, galley, and a few other special extras. The siding is rough hewn pine log siding and the roofing is Ondura corrugated roofing.
